Frequently asked questions.

What is Pickleball?

Pickleball is the fastest growing sport in the US! It is a paddle sport that combines elements of tennis, badminton, and ping-pong. It is played on a smaller court with a lower net, using solid paddles and a perforated plastic ball. It’s easy enough that all ages from 9 to 99 are picking up the game.

What do I need to Play Pickleball and Where can I get it?

To play pickleball, you need a paddle, a pickleball, and appropriate footwear. Our Pickleball Central Pro Shop carries everything you need from beginner paddles to the paddles the pros use! Just be sure to wear bring tennis shoes that do not mark the courts.

Do you have beginner classes or lessons for those new to pickleball?

Yes! New Players would start with the FREE Intro to Pickleball class. We have additional classes frequently to progress in your game. Find out more on the Clinics + Lessons page.

How Do the Courts Play?

Here’s a testimonial from Dave Flemming, PPA Commentator

"It plays the way you want it to play, the highest-level players are playing on it, it feels right, and the way the ball comes off is amazing."

Can I bring my kids to play?

That depends! We allow children 8-13 to become members and play ONLY if they are accompanied by an adult. Children 7 and under are not allowed on the courts and should never be left unattended in the common areas. Students 14 - 18 years can play unattended in the club provided that the Parent has signed the Child Participation Waiver, Liability Waiver and Code of Conduct. Students are expected to play appropriately and any bad behavior will result in the parent being required to pick up their child immediately. We have a dedicated Junior Pickleball Program for kids ages 8 - 17.

What membership is right for me?

If you are looking to play once a week, Daily Drop In is your best membership unless you’re a senior or student and can squeeze in 5 times a month, then opt for the Unlimited Open Play pass for your group. If you’re looking to play twice a week, the unlimited Open Play Pass is a good option. If you only like booking your own court to play, consider buying a Bundle of Court Reservation Hours? An Open Play Bundle is for those who come sporadically and can get all your punches in within 6 months.

How Does the Bundles/Punches Work?

When you purchase a Bundle, Punches will be loaded to your Pickleball 706 Court Reserve Account. You will then be able to “Pay by Package” for the Open Play or Court Reservations depending on the bundles you have, you can sign up for open plays using your digital punches.

Do I still have to pay even if I am using a Punch?

No! You spend your Punches like spending $$. If you have Punches remaining, then you would use them. The only time you will ever have to pay an additional fee if is you run out of punches in your package.

I have a “Family” set up in my account, Do I have to divide my punches evenly among my household?

No, you can use the punches however you like. Every person will have their own account and will be able to see how many punches remain for their family.
